Expression

Kawaii : cute

J: Sono ribbon kawaii ne.

E: That ribbon is cute.

Kakkoii : (manly) cool, fabulous

J: Sangurasu kakerutto kakkoi.

E: It is cool to put on a sunglass.

Sugoi : great, splendid

J: Kyou ha sugoi hito ni atta yo.

E: Today i met a great person.

Yabai : Wow, oh my god, oh no.

It is used on following situation :

  • showing desperation.

J: Mou dame da! yabai yo!

E: No more, It's the end! OMG!

  • showing fascination.

J: Oishii! Kore yabai yo!

E: Wow! This is delicious!

  • when something goes wrong.

J: Yabai.. kyou kasa mottenai..

E: Oh no.. i don't bring an umbrella today..

Kisaten: Cafe

Famiresu: An abbreviation of family restaurant

Konbini: An abbreviation of convenient store

Gakkou: School

Byouin: Hospital

Eki: Train Station

Greetings

Konnichiwa: Hello

Hajimemashite: Nice to meet you

Ohayou gozaimasu: Good morning

(remove the gozaimasu to be casual)

Arigatou gozaimasu: Thankyou

Dou itashimashite : You're welcome

Konbanwa: Good evening

Oyasumi: Good night

Mata ashita: See you tommorow

Yoroshiku onegaishimasu: Please treat me well, Please (i am relying on you)

it is used on following situations:

  • introducing yourself.

J: Hajimemashite, yoroshiku onegaishimasu.

E: Nice to meet you, please treat me well.

  • Asking for cooperation/ to rely on someone/ to request

J: Rusuban tanomimasu, yoroshiku ne.

E: Please look after the house, i'm counting on you.
